I am in-network with most major insurance plans such as: Aetna, Allwell, Ambetter, Anthem BCBS, Cox Health Plans, Cigna/Evernorth, Coventry, Essence, First Health Network, Healthlink, Humana, Medica, Medicare, Med-Pay, Mercy Health Plans, Multiplan, Optum, Oscar, Tricare West, UBH, UMR, United Health Care (UHC), VA CCN, Wellcare, and 90 Degree Benefits.

If you are out of network, I can provide an invoice or superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
**Please note that when using insurance to cover your therapy services, insurance companies require a diagnosis be given to a client in order for it to be considered “medically necessary.” Without this, insurance will not cover your services.

Both!
I love to see clients in person, but online/telehealth sessions are available to those with reliable internet connection.
Due to current state licensing laws, you must be a Missouri resident to participate in online therapy sessions with me.
*(Stay tuned as this may change in the future due to new laws referred to as the Counseling Compact which will allow counselors to serve clients across state lines. Go to https://counselingcompact.org/ to learn more.)

**Calls and messages are only checked during typical business hours 8am-5pm, not in the evenings or over the weekend.
Late Cancellations: While I understand that sometimes unexpected things happen (like car trouble or illness) that may cause you to need to reschedule, late cancellations - with less than 24 hours notice - are billed a $25 fee to protect the time that has be reserved specifically for you.
No shows: If you do not call to cancel or reschedule your appointment and simply do not show up, you are considered a "no show" and will be billed the full rate of your service that was scheduled.

First of all, I’m so happy that you are choosing to make yourself a priority and reach out for support! I hope that you’re excited, but please know it’s totally normal to feel a little nervous or awkward when you first start therapy.
> Call, email, or submit a contact form through the website.
>If you submit a contact form, it has a place for you to let me know briefly what you're wanting help with. I then reach out to you by your preferred method, either call or email, and we’ll chat briefly about what you’re looking for and answer any questions you may have. This helps us to decide if we’re a good fit before you invest your time and money.
>If it is a fit for us then we’ll get you scheduled and I will email you a link to the secure client portal where you will fill out your new client intake forms and read through and sign the informed consent, privacy practices, and cancellation policy all online. No need to print anything! You will even enter your payment information right into the secure client portal making payment super easy. Your card will be charged for your session the same day as your appointment.
>During that first appointment we’ll figure out how often to schedule based on your needs.

Each individual session is 50-60 minutes. This is the typical length of time for therapy nationwide and is the industry standard based on insurance reimbursement rates.
As far as overall length of treatment, there are many variables to consider when determining the length any person is in therapy. The biggest factor to consider is what is your intention or goal for therapy? Your individual goal(s) that you are trying to accomplish may take time or may be quickly achieved.
Also, consider how frequently you are able to attend therapy and the time and work you are willing to put into it outside of your sessions. This will directly impact how quickly you reach your goals.
Another consideration is your own needs and perception of therapy. Some prefer support only during a specific event to help them get through that period of time, some are very goal oriented with a specific outcome in mind, and others prefer to have a therapist as an ongoing source of support and growth.
That being said, the majority of clients attend sessions weekly or biweekly, but ultimately you get to decide what works for your schedule and budget!
